As the holiday season begins and things are slow down, we’ve extended the Governance Board election until the 3rd of August. The extension will allow more time for all our TSC members to participate in shaping the future of the community.

Please take time to read the elections blog for details on how to vote and the candidates. Don’t forget to cast your vote!

AsyncAPI Conference 2026

Over the past weekend, some of our community members represented the community at APIConf Lagos and volunteered at the API Standards booth. It was also great to be community partners again this year, and huge thanks to Prince and Azeez for speaking and representing the community at the conference and running the booth, together with Bami, who captured some great content for us as well.

Call for Proposals

Call for Proposals for the following AsyncAPI Conferences are still open:

Submit those ideas and talks; it doesn’t matter whether you have spoken before or are a first-time speaker; come teach, share and learn together with the community!

Security

We recently dealt with a security issue where a bad actor published to NPM, affecting some of the packages. Thanks to the security response team, Florence Njeri, Ashish Padhy, Lukasz Gornicki and Thulisile Sibanda, who managed to mitigate the situation as best as we can.

For a detailed summary of the supply chain attack and the security team's findings, please read the executive summary.

Webinar Series

Join the upcoming AsyncAPI webinar on the 6th of August at 1 pm UTC with Naresh Jain, hosted by Azeez, exploring Testing Retry and DLQ Behaviour with AsyncAPI.

Be sure to watch live on YouTube to join the session and bring all the questions you might have.
